Doug Roch has been the principal here for about 2 years and I personally love his style. He is very approachable, he listens to you when you have a concern and he always has a smile on his face. He does his job well and I think we're lucky to have him as our principal.

Let’s be for real, the vsb doesn’t care bout anything, and for that the school tries to care but at the same time... not really. Our principal is nice and easy to talk to, yet at the same time he can’t solve a problem unless it’s right in front of him... The staff is meh, some fundraiser money is usually spent poorly. Some time they’ll say it’s for Qubec next year or grad, those are true. But other random events or anything inbetween, the money is usually spent for not needed things. Like damn I brought up this opinions awhile ago and I now forgot some of the stuff they bought. Another thing being, the teachers, some are nice, some are mutual and a few odd balls aren’t the best. Some of the good teachers I grew up with left for a better school. Probably from being tried. Also the “bad” teachers are all protected by the vsb so even if they weren’t liked by everyone, the vsb would still protect them. By that note if you get a bad teacher EVER, just leave the school or wait until next year. Complaining won’t do anything. Saying that, this could be pointless but I just need this as I warning. I only enjoy it because of school projects and friends. But even at that, as you get older there will always be some drama. Last year, throughout summer, and at the start of the school year a big problem occurred, where the blame was easily placed on someone who was actually victimized. The situation was online and in real life affecting our school life’s and pushed our self worth level down. The school or the principal at least knew the situation was getting legal. So he said the police would get included, probably only said that to scare the culprit. Didn’t work. The school never involved the police to determine who it was. Thanks for listening and don’t take everything I say directly to head.
