Sandy's Bake Shoppe

Bought a vanilla butter cream 6-inch cake off the shelf for my daughter's birthday and it was divine! I've been craving it since. A tiny little shop not too far from the water but their place is packed full of goodies: sweets and savouries. Everything looked very good and fresh. Breads and croissants were coming out of the oven while I was there waiting for my daughter's cake to be ready with the icing greeting. I'm so glad our AirBNB host suggested this place!

Horrible place. Due to covid 19 some people think they can treat others like animals. Lost respect for families. Single mom with child was not allowed to enter. Mom was horrified when told to leave their child outside the store by herself. I will never go there again and will let people know. Not acceptable behavior by anyone. PS. Masks were worn. Based on the reviews, the baking isn’t that great anyways.

Amazing baked goods! The sausage rolls were flaky and so savory. The white chocolate raspberry cheesecake was rich and creamy...and the black forest cake we special ordered was to die for. Excellent customer service!

The cookies were horrible! I bought Chocolate Chip cookies on an impulse and I couldn't even finish a cookie after 1 bite. It was hard, flat, bland and tasted too much like vegetable shortening. We ended up throwing away the whole bag afterwards. I also bought a $25 white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. My total was around $35—those 6 cookies were not cheap! The cheesecake was okay, not the best I've had. I could have bought a cheesecake (at the same quality) from Safeway for less.

I bought 6 Morning Glory muffins months ago. Ate 2 before putting the other 4 into the freezer and forgetting about them. Well, I took one out of the freezer last night to have this morning and cannot believe how delicious it was. Do not stop making these muffins Sandy!!! And don't even get me started on the Raspberry Cheesecake tarts!
