We had great food and a great server named Michelle! She made some great recommendations for some favourites on the menu. We got the Monday Special which was steak and ribs, and it was cooked perfectly, so juicy and tasty! She also brought us a super tasty dessert as I was celebrating my birthday :). This was the first restaurant we've been to that took down a name and phone number for contact tracing for COVID-19 and we appreciated that they took the time to do that. We will definitely be going back! Thanks Michelle!

Incredibly delicious food. I had a 19oz Porterhouse steak (T-bone) with a side of smashed red skin potatoes and steamed carrot. Steak was fantastic and cooked perfectly to my liking. Had the brownie & vanilla ice cream for dessert, it was so tasty. Delicious food for a decent price with excellent service.

We had never eaten dinner in Hinton before, but knew that we (a) wanted to support some place local, not a chain (b) wanted a quality menu, real food not manufactured (c) affordable, and (d) fun place to be. Canadian Steakout got 4 out of 4, and we were so happy we chose them to finish out our mini vacation. We walked in without a reservation, but we're seated almost immediately. The server was warm and friendly, listened to our needs, made excellent suggestions based on what we had said, and managed to tailor our meal exactly to our requirements. The food was cooked perfectly, presented well, and the beer on tap (and my glass of wine!) paired well with our choices. Hubby went with the Angus BBQ burger with an IPA on tap from the local Folding Mountain brewery on the side. I had a very small appetite this evening after a huge lunch, and prefer 'surf' rather than 'turf'. My server suggested the Oscar chicken, but I only wanted a half portion; well she made it happen! And it was amazing - exactly the food that I didn't know I wanted. The only downside (and it's an extremely minor point) was that my glass of wine was charged $1 more on the bill than was on the menu. My server offered to give us the extra $1... I told her to add it to her tips. (Yes, of course we tipped!). We will definitely be back next time we are in Hinton.

Absolutely amazing little gem. Went here for dinner on our way out of Jasper after a long day of hiking. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Always on top of getting our drinks refilled if needed, and lovely to chat to! They weren’t kidding when they said they had the best steaks! Medium rare New York strip.. cut like butter and was absolutely delicious! The porterhouse my husband had gotten was amazing in flavour and size as well. The poutine was delicious, same with the Caesar salad. Everything we were served tasted amazing. If you are driving through and are craving steak, definitely highly recommend! Also, they are doing contact tracing just in case a COVID case comes up - I have not seen this yet at any restaurant and am completely impressed. Next trip to Jasper, we will be for sure stopping by again!

Staying in Hinton for our honeymoon and this restaurant was recommended by the front desk lady where we are staying and we were not disappointed in our meal! The steak was done to perfection! The sides were also very delightful! We highly recommend this hidden gem of a place in Hinton and will return when we travel through again.
