The artwork inside is gorgeous religious building or not seeing the mosaics and fancy trims inside was breath taking. Lots of places to explore inside the building and around the property. My eyes were constantly wondering and finding beautiful artwork everywhere. There were a few pieces of art that bothered me but I guess that's what art does. It makes you feel stuff. There's prayer rooms and if you're curious what the person in the room "represents" or what they are a saint for theres little handouts left in the open and info around the room to read, similar to a museum. So opportunity to learn or maybe they hope you'll gain new perspective? Either way. I saw it as learning. Outside you'll find lots of landscape good for taking pictures weather you model or just want to enjoy the land, there's lots to explore and look at. -like the art on the ceilings I wish I brought binoculars- Seriously if you've been before but never noticed the little bug mosaics on the ceiling in the halls go check it out! :) I was dragged here and went hesitantly but ended up having an amazing time and I'm really glad I went. It was a very welcoming environment and more like a museum you have to be quiet in. It was beautiful.

A must visit church with incredible architecture, beautiful frescoes and history. Very well worth the trip and the self-guided tour even if you are not catholic. Catch services here if you can. There is train nearby and plenty of local souvenir stores around the church plaza with very friendly employees. Getting there and parking was very easy.

Got there at 4:40 and the doors were closed even though it said it closed at 5. Nice from the outside!
