Stony Plain Dry Cleaners

Always have my suits drycleaned here. Quick turn around and excellent service would recommend.

My fringe blanket was returned to me in damaged condition (matted and puffy...not fringe/smooth condition like when I brought it in to be cleaned). When I complained and expressed my concern with it, I was not given any apology nor did they take any ownership of the problem but they did offer to try and fix it, which I do appreciate. When they called me to tell me it was fixed and I went to go pick it up, it was still not the same as when I brought it in originally...it was still matted. I expressed again that this was not how the blanket looked when I brought it in originally only to then be spoken to with an incredibly rude tone and demeanour by Debbie. She told me she wouldn't deal with me, referred me to Len and walked away. She completly dismissed me. I was not rude or disrespectful at any given time. Again, I was not offered any apology for the blanket or the inconvenience. Not one person took any ownership for the problem. Len even went as far as to tell me that it must have been "manufacturing issue" with labelling it incorrectly on how to clean it. I once again expressed my unhappiness with the customer service or lack there of and the rude and dismissive behavior that I had been treated with. Len then offered to try and remedy the situation one more time by offering to try and "dry clean" it. I agreed to allow him to try and rectify the situation one more time. I was called a few days later to tell me there would be a cheque waiting for me to cover the cost of the blanket as it had not been fixed. While I greatly appreciate they were willing to reimburse me the cost of the blanket, when I went to pick up the cheque and my still damaged blanket, I was told that I would not be getting my blanket back as they would be donating it because of the cheque they provided me with. Keep in mind, this cheque only covered the cost of the blanket, it did not cover what I paid to have it dry cleaned in the first place. When I expressed that of course I wanted my property back and that they did not have my permission to donate it, as it is MY property, the worker then went to the back, found my blanket and finally gave it back. I am so upset and disappointed with my entire experience with Stony Plain Dry Cleaners regarding this situation and especially because throughout all of this, I was not once given an apology for ruining my blanket or for the rude and disrespectful way that I was treated. It is incredible to me that this company can get away with treating their customers this way, especially when its the company that is in the wrong, not the customer. When a customer brings in a item to be cleaned, it should be returned to them in the same state it was brought in...actually it should be returned in a better state as it is now clean...definitely not worse. And I understand that sometimes things happen so when things do go wrong, the company should just take ownership an apologize. Not treat their customers with disrespect and unpleasantness.

If i could put negative stars I would. I tried the Stony Plain branch for the first time and they managed to leach the colour out of a $200 jacket. Their response?? bring in the matching top and we'll fade it to match!!! Angry does not begin to express how I feel. Len did not care, offered no recourse and did not even refund what I paid to have the jacket cleaned. His response "so sad too bad". If you have a valuable item.... don't go here, THEY DON'T CARE. Worst experience ever.
