My wife and I just had a very disappointing lunch here. It's extremely rare that I have a dining experience that is so subpar that I feel it warrants a review, but here we are. First, when ordering, I was able to see into the kitchen area, wherein there were three or four slow-cookers, likely keeping being used as food warmers. My wife had the mac and cheese, the pasta for which was overcooked (likely due to an extended stay in the slow-cooker) in a very bland cream sauce, and was served with a sad-looking lettuce and tomato salad. I ordered the chocolate and banana crepes, along with a coffee. The coffee was extremely weak and watered down (basically tasted like slightly dirty, hot water). When the food came, I was served a cold, dry, crumbly crepe with two small dots of whipped cream. Given the texture and temperature, I would legitimately be surprised if the crepes had been cooked today. The fact that this lunch cost us $30 (after tip) was extremely disappointing. We ate about half our lunch, and then left it unfinished (another thing that has never happened). I regret to say that there are other, much better places available, for much better value. Listen to the other 1 star reviewers. Our experience was the exact same as theirs.

Beautiful spot to enjoy coffee and food. Had breakfast at noon on the exterior patio area, and it was delicious. Great service and value .

okay cafe, great staff, very friendly and helpful, however they advertise "fast food" which it most definitely is not. also most of their lunch items are overpriced other than the soups. good people tho and good drinks and baked goods. also HORRIBLE music. i dont want to listen to the titanic soundtrack every time i come here. but... it is what it is!

Please note that this is not an attack , but constructive criticism review. My fiancee and I were visiting Sidney today and upon seeing the Red Brick Cafe we decided to get some coffee and a dessert ( Serious Coffee is next door and we have enjoyed the chain in the past but decided to try something different) and different is what we got. First off , good atmosphere, no loud music or bad smells, good lighting , clean interior and clean washrooms 👍 . As we ordered and awaited there seemed to be a quiet air of confusion between the 2 front end staff, and this was my queue to pay attention . Upon seeing our cheesecake we inspected and were gifted with a nice puff of mold ( upon our return the staff member did relinquish the cheesecake and its family members into disposal 👍) 2nd was the Latte's , which we tasted and left sitting on the table as we exited the Cafe and went to Serious Coffee .. the air of confusion was due to a lack of skill required for the latte and I felt for the staff member as they quietly descended into the unknown and after making it immediately apologized to which I graced him with "you did well " and hope that the owner takes this review seriously and trains the front end staff appropriately so there is an Air of Confidence behind the counter instead.
