As a former logger in my younger days I enjoyed the sights and the walk around the property. There wasn't much going on and I can see a lot of potential here that has been neglected. Financially they have fallen upon hard times and are in need of a cash injection from any level of government or forestry companies. Private donations I don't think will be enough

One of my favorite places to visit in Port Alberni. Amazing history and crazy stories are here to be discovered. Walking around this site gives a glimpse into the hard as nails lives the men and women lived while keeping this mill alive and feed with giant old growth trees. I would highly encourage everyone to donate a few bucks to help preserve this amazing piece of history for everyone to see!
