I have never been disappointed with Thompson Tailor! I am so glad to have found them after moving from Vancouver. As I am fairly petite - most of my clothes have to be taken in and refitted. I feel absolutely comfortable leaving my pricey clothes in Alex’s hands ! Many of my friends & family from the coast actually come to Alex for alterations now :) He really is a great tailor ! Takes pride in his work. I recommend him to everyone!

I brought in my 83 year old mothers wool hat to be dry cleaned. I go to pick up and he said he had problems with it puckering. I didn’t think anything about it until I took it out of the wrap and my mom couldn’t put it on. It shrank so much and the knitted flower in front was warped downward. OMG this guy would not take responsibility for ruining the hat which came from Italy. Would not even refund the cleaning cost. Never even apologized. He didn’t care. Worst customer service ever.

Great customer service from this hardworking team. My alterations have always been perfect. Will be back again!

The owner Alex is so unmannerly, unethical, deceitful and offensive to clients specially if you are providing constructive criticism that words are not enough to describe. His choice of words with clients are inexpressible and are adequate to give you a psychological shock! They charge twice the price for the same dry wash provided by other service providers and when I asked what was the value proposition the answer was 'extraordinary customer service'. At first, when I placed the order the order taker did not disclose the price and said it's quite the similar as others then I called them after almost 10 days as I didn't hear back. They gave me the price quote and I literally mentioned the industry counterparts like McCleaners who charge much less for the same service, thus, Alex offered me a discount as the price difference was absurd. THE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE CAME INTO PLAY AS A NIGHTMARE WHEN I WENT FOR THE DELIVERY! He literally denied to give me the discount as I gave a feedback and liked negative comments regarding pricing on Reviews and threatened that they won't give me my blanket back if I don't pay the full price. Also, quote: " Cheap people look for discounts" whereas he was the one offered the discount at the first place! He became literally abusive when asked reasonable questions. I have never had this sort of nightmare experience in my life before and never dealt with someone who's so disrespectful with a client! I myself work in the service industry. The reason I'm reviewing this is so that he thinks twice before deceiving and offending any other clients and I'm sure this wasn't the first one. It is never about the money, it is more about how reasonable you are and how respectfully you deal with your clients. He should at least learn the basics before swaggering. Overall, it seemed like a daylight robbery and he doesn't even seem to care as he thinks he has a fixed client base and as long as he satisfies them he is well-off. Appalling customer service and business ideology!! I am gonna file complaints through consumer protection channels too as this bizarre customer harassment cannot go unnoticed.

Always ask for the cost of the work to be done ahead of time. You might be surprised. Work on my pants was poorly done and cost as much as the pants. I will not be going back in the foreseeable future.
