City of St. Thomas

I would like to say to everyone, St. Thomas is a rip-off for property tax and business tax. I called the city staff at least two times, asking them why? No legitimate answer. The mayor claims he would like more people and businesses to come, yet at the same time, he is waiting for this moment to suck their blood out with sky high taxes. Buyers beware!

Pinafore Park is a beautiful gem! There is something there for all ages to enjoy and the outdoor space is second to none. People should be so proud of this Park. City Hall and their Parks Dept are to be commended. Thank you.

Elgin County is in a sad state of affairs. I have suffered a stroke in mid Feb, I lived off of savings to support my family through Feb and March, I paid all of my bills until the end of April..... Mistakenly Apparently. It appears I should not have paid all our bills and hold back some money because we find ourselves short on food and travel as we have a country home between Rodney and Wardsville. It is a 114 km round trip each way with more than 10 appointments are booked between now and the 1st of May. We have not the funds for another of these appointments and no idea how we are going to initiate even beginning our ODSP we are entitled to May 1st. We have called every single number agency and person with ultimately not results all numbers lead to a dead end. I sincerely do not recommend Eglin County to no one as there is zero absolutely no help, lots of good will but no support what so ever, You are on your own.!!!!
