When I was a kid my family would travel to our cabin in Sioux Narrows, Canada. One time we stopped here for gas, as we normally would, but I didn't return to the van quick enough and they left without me. So I hung out at the gas station waiting for them to return (I was about 8 at the time). My family didn't realize I was missing until they arrived at the cabin and noticed I was missing. Me being missing wasn't even noticed at the border crossing. I guess I was a quiet kid. Anyway, I always enjoyed stopping at the various Holiday gas stations, even the one time my parents abandoned me here for 2 hours. (This was about 45 years ago.)

The store clerk named Jamie was so kind and she provided amazing service and helped me feel comfortable. The fact that she was very kind and outspoken to me without ever having met me before speaks VOLUMES about her. I would like for her to be recognized for this very kind act and hospitality. Pretty standard gas station. One of the last before you get to Canada. Not a great hot food selection and a little dingy.
