Veterinaria Costa Ballena

Good Veterinarian, we highly recommend them for emergencies. Our dog was bitten by a snake last year (probably terciopelo), and came walking back to the house with a bloody paw (the teeth marks were clearly visible, and almost 2" apart). Within 20 minutes we took him to Uvita, and stormed in yelling 'emergencia!'. They dropped everything and injected him with anti-venom, no questions asked. After that, he stayed at the vet for 4 days and recovered completely. Thanks again to the entire team for your help!

Dr. Fernando saved our dog Coco’s life when she swallowed a palm seed and was completely obstructed. We drove our dog down from Quepos because the diagnostic and surgical capabilities at Dr Fernando’s Uvita clinic far exceed anything in the area, and most of Costa Rica. Dr Fernando, the staff and the facility are world class, not to mention way above our expectations in a developing country. Dr Fernando kept up informed and has a great bedside manner. The prices are more than fair. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Fernando treated us like we were family. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

Excellent service and quality of care

Dr Fernando came to our house and saved our dog who was dying with bloody diarrhea. Our dog is 15 but dr Fernando took him to the veterinarian office and hydrated and treated him AND brought him back to our house. Doggo is now healing well.
