Maybe it depends on the team on duty, but in my case it wasn't very helpful. Particularly for drugs there should be alternatives and with smartphones and computer even communication shouldn't be a problem.

Great little pharmacy right as you get into Jaco from the North. The staff is nice and the bandages I bought weren't very expensive.
