We booked the atv tour for this past sun. They picked us up from our airbnb. We started talking to the guide and mentioned we wanted to go the Manuel antonio national park on mon. He mentioned that it was closed on Monday and we were pretty bummed. We asked if we could switch the atv tour for mon so we could go to Manual Antonio NP on sun. He said no problem and when we got to the office we paid infull for the atv for Mon at 11am. They took us back to the air bnb. On Monday they picked us up at 1115am we were the last ones to be picked up. When we got on their bus they had 11 riders and 2 more were driving their own car. So total with 2 guides we had 15 total people (should have cancelled then because there were to many people) they take you through a jungle area where there are holes, mud, and water to drive thru. They should have split the group into 2 because you could not go fast, you had to brake every few seconds and hold up hand signals for all the riders behind you. This was a very slow atv ride with alot of braking (not much fun) they also put 2 slow drivers up front which was the dumbest thing they could do. We got up to the stopping point and hiked a mile to the waterfall. It was beautiful but water was freezing. I cooled off and we took photos. They provided bottled water, fresh watermelon and pineapple while we were at the waterfall. We all hiked back together and the guide Christopher took 3 people from our group alone on a tour before coming back to starting point. We were still in the parking lot, we were told they split the group of because of the dust. We all were talking not even close to the atvs when they left and we left 10 min later. If they supposedly went back the same way we were going, we would have saw them because you can see through the area where they ride atvs. That was total BS, if you split the group you split it in the beginning and in half. Christopher took those 3 riders on muddy trails a different area and for an extra 25 min, we made sure to count the time.
We asked why couldn't we go for a faster and for a longer ride, and no one replied except oh you want to go faster, but they didnt do anything except take the 12 of us back to the meeting point. We all unloaded, parked our atvs, sat down for lunch, and the other group was 15min late for lunch because they were having fun w Christopher while we sat and waited. We all paid the same price because I asked the riders who went w Christopher and they told us they went on a better trail and were able to go fast because their was only 3 of them. Christopher made sure to show them where to shower all the mud off and clean up before eating. He catered to them, ignoring the rest of the group, and even sat in the van with those 3 people, still ignoring the rest of the group. So we all paid the same but he chose his 3 favs and took them for a better ride plus 25min longer.
They should give some of our money back because we didnt go past 15 mph ever unless you had to catch up or back away from all the freakin dust from 15 riders plus took us on the same trail we came in, slow because 2 riders were so slow up front, and if they give 3 people an extra 25 well we should have gotten that too.
No I do not recommend this place because they show favoritism and I been riding atvs all my life. No these atvs are not for 2 people riding in that terrain they are 1 seater atvs. If you like going slow this might be for you but cover your face because they might have 15 riders in front of you throwing dust in your face. They didnt care about you having fun they got your money and was they did what they wanted and not what the brochure or other guides tell you before you pay. I saw other atv tours that have 2 seaters and are much more fun, skip this one and find a new one where everyone is treated the same. The tour is w travel is more like 5hrs. The 2 stars is for the food and the nice driver we had. FIND A NEW ATV TOUR DO NOT BOOK W THIS OVERCROWDED PLACE.
My husband and I took our son on atv ride today with fourtrax. I was so impressed with the while experience. The ride was longer than I thought and lots of chances to get really muddy!! Stopped halfway at a beautiful waterfall and swam in the crystal clear pools. Our guides Daniel and Eli were very informative and personable. Very good guys who made our experience one of a kind. Highly recommend!
Great tour and even better guides
We has a blast booking an ATV tour with FourTrax. We got 1 double ATV (1 driver, 1 rider). They took us for a 4 hour tour where we rode for 2 hours, made a pit stop at a waterfall for a swim (20 mins walk there and back) and got a snack (fresh pineapple) and lunch too. Experience was amazing. And we highly recommend it.
The folks here are awesome. We didn't get to go to the rainmaker waterfall because a tree had fallen on the trail. Still enjoyed it very much!
