Absolutely stunning! Where do I start? From the second we pulled in, Marshall and Angela made us feel like family. The room was very comfortable and the grounds are simply amazing. La ponderosa is a piece of paradise, inside of paradise. Every single person that works at la ponderosa, is super friendly and very accommodating. We will stay at La ponderosa every time we visit pavones. I give it a 10 out of 5 stars. Great time with great people and a lot of laughs.

La Ponderosa Resort Pavones, Costa Rica 🇨🇷 🌴 Spent two weeks in Paradise at La Ponderosa in Pavones, Costa Rica, a Boutique Beach and Jungle Resort. Marshall and Angela (Owner/Proprietor) are the most warm and incredible hosts you will ever meet. The grounds, pool, and quarters are as clean, beautiful, and stunning as the tropical beach paradise right outside the front gate. Three very good (small) family restaurants all in walking distance, La Ponderosas small restaurant serves a great breakfast and coffee... and is the morning meeting spot for guest from around the world to chat about surf, fishing, and beach locations. Feel the WARMTH of the beaches, weather, and people, PURA VIDA!!! I’ll be back for sure... and maybe one day to stay. BItaliano

Loved staying here for our honeymoon. Angela and Marshall have a well kept hotel that is situated in the perfect place: they're right outside of town and next to the beach. They were able to recommend restaurants (including finding out their modified hours), set up a fun horseback tour and relaxing massage, and recommend places and times to surf. We also appreciated their sustainable business practices as we look to support local communities. Their staff, Victoria and Amada were incredible and sweet. We felt very welcome during our stay. We'll definitely be coming back

Awesome spot. Great people. Good vibes. I have visited a few times in the past, but this was the best trip ever. I would highly recommend staying here if you are checking out this area. Good food also, It was really nice to just not have to worry about anything! Pura vida!

My stay at La Ponderosa in Feb 2020 exceeded my expectations! This gem of a place is so well kept and clean; the rooms are beautifully and simply decorated. The resort is in the lush jungle with large grounds perfect for exploring and hiking; and across a secluded beach. Bike rental makes it easy to get to town. Angela and Marshall are fantastic hosts!
