Looking out over the hotel property it gave me a semi colonial feeling, the way the buildings are set up. It is a very comfortable feeling.
very clean and looks to be quite well kept. Its architecture has a colonial taste to it.
I found the personnel to be friendly and very helpful.
The room was very comfortable and quiet, although some minor sounds filtered through but was not bothersome at all.
The bed was a king size and quite comfortable, the Shower was a bit on the small side but acceptable.
The pool is well kept but is cold, Ha Ha. Just a bit cold for me but my wife enjoyed it.
I find this hotel in the mid price scale as far as room is concerned and the included breakfast was quite good. I did find the food prices in the menu on the high side. The Spa does offer a variety of services which i find to be a bit pricey compared to prices in other locations.
Taking advantage of special discounts and offers through discount agents it is worth staying at for a night or 2 for the average visitor, other than that it is on the top price range for the standard budget.
Was this a a worth while place to visit? Yes it is, taking advantage of these special discounts that are available from time to time.
I had a very bad experience in that hotel. For instance, the room I got had a funny old smell coming from everywhere, blankets, bath, pilows, etc. Plus, the sink was cluttered so you had to wash your teeth and spit very fast other wise the water would come off. The last night, I ordered room service. It was smoked salmon which immediately tasted funny but then i thought to my self, what could go wrong out of a salmon made in such a prestigious restaurant. I got intoxicated badly. Yet the personal of the hotel went to a drugstore to buy me medicines, I was charged for the plate and never got formal excuses from the owner as they said the salmon met all the standards. I hardly doubt it because I peeked the kitchen and it was not that clean enough
My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel to be close to the airport. We only stayed here for 2 nights and it was a nightmare. They really need to update their website. It says it has a gym -it doesn't! Casino - it doesn't! Sauna - it doesn't! Spa - it doesn't! We stayed in CR for 8 days and our last 2 nights we had a horrible experience. As soon as we checked in they said somebody was going to come in a golf car to help us w our bags they never came. The guy w golf car said your bldg is to the right and drove away. When we came in the room it smelled really bad like mold but worse. The bed sheets looked dirty and old like never been changed before we asked the front desk to give us new ones and didn't seem like they did when we came back we had the same ones so we didn't even open the bed. There was a couch that looked disgusting my fiancé left his computer for 5 min sitting in the couch and bunch of ants were crawling up. We slept w the lights on the 2 nights we stayed. I woke up the next day and I had bunch of bites in my arms and legs tho the both nights we stayed while asleep I felt something crawling up on me I thought I was just paranoid for how the room looked and I was imagining things. Big mistake the room was infested w BEDBUGS... I came back to the states and seemed like those things got on my luggage my apartment had to be fumigated because of this. Please don't stay here. The pictures showed a different look to what this place really is... this hotel needs to be shut down. Worse experience of my life. I stayed in 3 different cities when I was in CR 3 weeks ago didn't have a problem in any of the 2 hotels I stayed at. Resort Martino shouldn't be open to the public. I know there are a lot of comments that give it 5 stars and I honestly don't know why. Worse place I ever stayed at. Save yourself a headache if u want to stay close to the airport... stay at the holiday inn

Nice place. It has all the amenities of a good hotel. Very good service and excellent attention. Rich and varied breakfast. Very neat. The rooms can be modernized (floor, safe, televisions and others).
