In April 2011 the construction of the Communal Library was achieved through the FeProGuayabo (Foundation for Education and Progress in Guayabo), which was made possible thanks to the economic funds of the Curt Thomas Sheck Foundation and donations from the community inhabitants.
The Communal Library has a diverse collection of books with diverse themes such as archeology, environment, natural resources, sustainable agriculture and others. On the other hand, the Library has become a meeting point that aims to rescue and preserve historical memory and information exchange.
Likewise, courses and workshops have been provided on topics such as: sustainable management of natural resources, use of computer packages, management of micro projects, fabrics and embroidery, reading workshops, among others.
