Choir History An advisory meeting to establish a volunteer fire brigade in Postřekov took place on Sunday, April 7, 1895. The following were elected as interim committee, which was primarily tasked with preparing the statutes and establishing a church: Jakub Řezníček (no. 28, mayor of the village) Ondřej Schweinar (managing teacher), Jakub Buršík (no. 75), Šimon Frei (no. 78), František Řezníček (no. 165) and Karel Řezníček (no. 129 ). The constituent meeting of the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Postřekov was convened on Sunday, August 4, 1895, at 2 pm in the local school. There were 30 members who signed up for the day. Elections were held at this meeting under the new statutes. The first mayor of our choir was Jakub Řezníček, then Jakub Buršík was the commander. On the same day, a committee meeting was held, at which Ondřej Schweinar was elected by the choir executive. Furthermore, the resolution on the necessity of acquiring the appropriate equipment and a syringe was taken. By September 28, 1895, 28 members of the volunteer fire brigade were enrolled, who were on Sunday, September 22, 1895 equipped with firefighter clothing and armament. On September 28, 1895, a fire service promise was scheduled. Here we would like to quote from the preserved period materials: St. Patrick's Day Wenceslas 28th September 1895 was intended to compose a promise of fire. On the same day, all 28 active members gathered in front of the local school, where they joined Klenč in the march of music at 9 am. Here was a great welcome from the Fraternal Klenk Corps. The same fraternal congregation came to the choir in the procession of music to the beginning of the town of Klenče opposite. The commander of the local choir Mr. Hecht welcomed our choir with warm and cordial words. Our Corps Commander answered him. As proof of a warm friendship and fraternal love, the Klence Corps devoted a beautiful wreath of fresh flowers to the reminder. The members of both churches then pressed on the mutual agreement and love of the right. After this cordial welcome, both churches were taken to the Lord's Temple of the Lord for great services of God, in which the dignified Father Jiří Šteffek, the chaplain of the Jews, portrayed the meaning of the Fire Brigade in warm and deeply felt words. After the service of God, the choir was backed by our kings' choir beyond the city, where they broke up after a heartfelt farewell. In Postřekov our choir lined up after coming from the service of God at the school, to take the solemn promise of firefighter in the hands of his master Jakub Buršík. This promise, written in a special book of a fire service promise, was read by the chief executive, the members loudly vowed a promise, and gave their commander by hand the obligation to fulfill them. After this each individual's own hand folded the promise of a firefighter signed. The moving feast ended with the triple "glory" of His apostolic Majesty to our emperor and King Franz Joseph I for the participation of a great number of people. In the afternoon at 3 pm the first public exercise of the choir with a syringe was held. After the first year of existence, the volunteer fire brigade in Postřekov had an impressive 84 members - 30 of them active and 54 contributing. So much to look at the very beginning of what's happening at our church. If, on the other hand, we look to the present, I think we do not shame our predecessors. The choir had 136 members as of 31 December 2012, of which 28 were women and 108 were men. Currently, about 30-40 people are active. Apart from sporting activities, the choir participates mainly in the cultural life in the village (especially the fire ball and fairground reverberations always enjoy the abundant participation of our fellow citizens). Brigadier activities then earn money into their budget. Furthermore, members of the community intervention unit are recruited from our ranks. We are an organization with all age groups - starting with the preparation and the Club of Merit Firefighters.
