A memory of the winner of the Peace race, Vlastimil Moravec, who died here at the beginning of April 1986 at the steep hill exit. He came here into a rotating truck. Moravec was known for its amazing and fearless downhill rides. One of them has secured even the toughest victory (in three seconds) in the Peace Race in Poland. But downhills from the mountain peaks brought him ovation in the US and Mexico. Unfortunately, the last congress became fatal ... On the board is the text: "On this place // tragically died // Czechoslovakian bicycle representative // VLASTIMIL MORAVEC // 7. 5. 1949 - 15. 4. 1986 // Honor his memory//"" Vlastimil Moravce's grave is in the eastern Bohemian Spy village where he was born, near New Town over Metuji.
