Sad place, memories for cold War and death people on Czechoslovakia borders

Each of the iron beams is one preson killed when tried to escape from Czechoslovakia. Think about that because if now if you just cross that field where you are in Austria. No question, no checks, nobody trying to kill you.

Worth a visit, the monument is really original

Thanks to the panels, one realizes that freedom was not a matter of course several decades ago. The children asked why people couldn't just travel.
