I have never met such insolence of the City Police. In a critical traffic situation (the main city street was closed due to reconstruction) we parked somewhere at the end of the chateau park, far from the chateau. After about two hours our car already had a boot and most importantly a policeman damaged the painted wheel rim - a pity x thousand. In addition, it was probably discrimination against foreign vehicles because our car had a German brand. Why did Czech cars standing by not have the boot? When I called the town hall about the incident, a lawyer left me in one sentence. Needless to say, we still paid a fine.

The small town under the castle (today's castle) has for centuries been the simple name of Podhradí or Podhrad, which was only officially changed in 1885 to Hluboká and since 1924 it has been extended by the attribute into its present form. The city of Hluboká nad Vltavou became a union of the settlements of Podhrad, Hamr, Podskalí and Zámost on October 4, 1907, when the city was promoted by the decree of Emperor Franz Joseph I. In addition to the castle there are other attractive tourist destinations such as Zoo Ohrada, luxury golf course, , Alsova's South Bohemian Gallery, a large relaxation area, or a set of ponds suitable for summer recreation.
