At the end of Prameny (= sources formerly Sangerberg) you will find the remains of an old cemetery after a cross on the slope to the left of the road to Tepl. On a black board there is a text in German and Czech that makes you think. The inscription once adorned the right pillar of the large gate to the "new cemetery", of which only a few pitiful remains remain today. The quote goes back to Johan Tanzer, who was a wealthy hop dealer in the village. The magnificent grave of the Tanzer family, which survived from 1871 to 1945, was also on the cemetery. In the turmoil of the Second World War, the cemetery fell into disrepair, especially after the miners from Jachimov were looted. But soldiers also ransacked the graves for valuable items. Finally, the cemetery and the stones were removed in 1967 used in other structures. Only a large stone cross was left. It is located today in the Mnichov churchyard a few kilometers away. The original village, first mentioned in 1357, was located in the valley, as can be seen from old postcards and photos. In 1380 the village received city rights. According to a decree by Josef II of Austria (1741 - 1790), cemeteries were now only allowed to be outside of localities. The old cemetery at the church had to be relocated and subsequently grew from the plateau above District Street 210 into the slope to the street. The old cemetery at the church was finally removed in 1880. Prameny, German Sangerberg, was probably once a wealthy place. After the Second World War, the predominantly German Expelled the population and created a military training area on the plateau above the village. Many fence poles testify to this made of concrete, which can be seen on the left of road 210 to Mnichov. Today there is nothing left of the splendor of the original place, which, thanks to its sources, was considered a spa. An attempt to re-establish a bathing facility and a fountain system failed due to protests by the conservationists. The result was overindebtedness of the municipality with around 31 million crowns (1.2 million euros). The appearance of the village itself made a very poor impression on us.
