Interesting place. Identifying the church name, I found out that I had the same surname as the church. Lawrence - Latin Laurentius - Lorenz. I also found that Laurentius was burned in Italy in Rome because he gave church money to the poor. It seems to me that he was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Ivan Lorenz

Chrastava is dominated by the church of st. Lawrence, a distinct pseudo-Gothic building standing on a low hill above the town. A wooden church, probably rebuilt several times in the 14th century, was built in its place, and a massive stone tower was added at the end of the 16th century. In 1866-1868 the church was rebuilt to its present form. In the interior of the church, there are also several altar paintings by Chrastava natives J. Führich, W. Kandler and G. Kratzmann. Next to the church is a Baroque parsonage from 1739.
