Originally a conventional church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, it is under reconstruction, including the interior. It is built in the shape of a cross, according to the principles of Cistercian architecture and the only one, such, preserved in Bohemia. The Stretti family no longer carried out its reconstruction, Joseph II. the monastery abolished. The proposed completion of the reconstruction will be in 2021 to 2022.

The Romanesque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built between 1154-1204 and is preserved on the original Romanesque ground plan including Romanesque masonry. In 1666 the interior of the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style. One of the most important monuments of the interior is the restored Baroque organ from the workshop of the Loket organist Abraham Starck from 1668.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a Romanesque basilica built according to the principles of Cistercian architecture, the form of which settled in the middle of the 12th century. Despite the Baroque arrangements of this church, the Cistercian essence remained preserved along with Romanesque elements. It is the only such preserved church in our country.
