Long Story Short Hostel & Café

Exquisite food with almost molecular cuisine taste. No yet at Prague “Field” restaurant level but getting there. Using similar ideas (w/o NO2 magic). The whole hostel and its architecture is however breathtaking and worth just popping in or only purchasing their tasty fresh bread. More projects like this in CZ!

LSS place within the ancient walls of the city gives a vibe that you can just feel when you are there. The evenings holds a romantic spark with the lights, the trees from the park located under the walls, and especially when there is music live performance like the one that took place this evening, with Elias & The Shepherds. Great band!

Although I had arranged a late check-in with the reception earlier, the nightguard couldn’t find my reservation and didn’t speak English. So I had to check in per remote aid over the phone. Everything looks stylish, fancy, over the top almost, but my bed on top of a steep staircase under a low sloping roof was neither accessible nor comfortable. And quite undersized.

We stayed just one night (family of 5, in the family (private) room). The facility is just phenomenal, from the location through the historical building through the sensitive and stylish way it was renovated to smallest details. Superhelpful and friendly staff, good vibes everywhere. Don't miss breakfast with the fresh bread and other stuff from the next door bakery. And not to forget: Olomouc is a gem! Which makes the #LSS a gem within a gem.

This place absolutely BLEW US AWAY!! Amazing location, food, coffee, beer!! Everything!!! We would have loved to have spent more time here - it was one of the nicest places we have visited in Europe recently!!
