Pension Calla

The rooms in the top floor are not so nice. But the views are splendid. And the owners are one of the nicest and most pleasant hosts I've ever met.

Basic but very clean accommodation in a pleasantly renovated older recreational building with spacious rooms offering amazing views over the lake. Many of the rooms have kitchenette with induction hob, kettle, little fridge and (even though very limited) cooking utensils. The description of the rooms on Booking.com is very accurate even with floor information. Pension Calla is on the edge of the little lakeside village so it's perfect for relax or various water activities, however for hikes or other ways of spending of leisure time you have to move by car or bike (or boat). This is due to the concrete panel based construction technology of this building but the noises from footsteps, door shutting/opening, talking and everything else is sooo loud. No matter if the sound comes from the hallway or other rooms. I do not like carpets in rooms, but they make sense in hotels hallways since they work as a noise reduction. It might help at least a little here as well. The bed is too soft and uneven. Minibar style fridge is not suitable for food since to keep it really cold it has to be on higher setting and it is very loud then. But those are just little cons, because overall this place is really nice and the young owners are super caring and friendly. I mean, such devotion to what they do and the interest in making their guest's stay as enjoyable as possible is rarely seen in accommodation business here in Czech Republic. And its fairly priced. Thumbs up.

Clean rooms. Fridge. Parking in front of the building. Direct access to beach. Nice and quite. Breakfast good.

The environment is very nice and the staffs are very friendly. You have own small balcony and quite big room. You can also enjoy sunbathing at their own beach.

Modern room at lake Lipno. Friendly staff but their knowledge of English is not great. Parking too small for all the guests. Breakfast has not much variation.
