Kavárna Viola

Excellent cafe in the center of Karlovy Vary. Unimaginably delicious cakes, I especially recommend Napaleon and Medovik. Great view of the Colonade and Tepla. The staff are funny. True, it is not a very cheap establishment.

Certain days dance evenings with live music. Inside average. One of the waiters is inexperienced, so he looks at you even when you're drunk and doesn't ask, the other is in no mood, so you feel you should pay and go. Draft beer Pilsen (50 CZK) was good.

The café presents itself on "KV evenings" on Friday and Saturday. It is even recommended to book a table due to the rush. The dance evening takes place in the side lounge, the 4x3 meters parquet floor is lined with tables and in the corner there are microphone keys. Mr. musician plays from the basics into which he more or less successfully sings a mixture of pop, sometimes in some almost dance rhythm, which can sometimes manage blues or some cha-cha. At special request he will give waltz or rumba. But because it attracts only a few people to the mini-dance floor, it soon becomes a classic bouncing disco. We expected more from the evening in the spa town, but after a long search we could not find another working alternative.

We chose this café for the view of the colonnade. A waitress arrived with a bored expression and asked us what we wanted, we ordered coffee and dessert. After a while she came up with a dessert wrapped in plastic and something supposed to be "ice coffee". It looked and tasted more like colored water, you wouldn't know coffee in it 100%. I definitely do not recommend visiting this insult to the Karlovy Vary colonnade.

Prices were not exaggerated as elsewhere (cappuccino for 50 CZK), but unfortunately the coffee was not quite good taste. Nice service, excellent location.
