Late Baroque Church of St. Kateřiny is a single-nave building from 1796-98. It was built on the site of the original Renaissance chapel (1626) which burned down in 1794. There is also a dilapidated cemetery. It's a pity that the beautiful church is not repaired. There is a school right next door, it was founded in Kačerov before 1691. It was initially run in cottages. In 1822, a new stone school building was built next to the church, which was increased in 1883 by a timbered floor. The two classes taught up to 96 children. Emilian Kaufmann, perhaps the most important native of Kačerov, is also attached to the school building. Although he came from a German family, he became a prominent figure in Czech medicine and culture. In 1891 he was appointed associate professor at the Czech Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. He is considered the founder of Czech otorhinolaryngology. He is buried in the Kačerov cemetery by the wall of St. Catherine's Church.

An old, but still functioning church.
