The only thing missing from this place is the view through the trees, otherwise a great corner of nature where you won't meet so many people 👍🏻

The area of the rock town of Drábovny near Malá Skála was settled as early as the 3rd millennium BC, ie in the Late Stone Age - the settlement of the Lusatian people, as evidenced by the few findings in the sandstone massif, which rises up to 200 meters above the Jizera valley. In the case of a medieval castle, written reports do not mention him or his original name. A few existing archaeological findings prove its existence in the 13th century. The small castle was situated on a rocky sandstone formation (on the site of an older prehistoric settlement), from the other area of the promontory separated by a wide one, modified by a cleft. The entrance to the castle itself was either over it over a wooden bridge or from it using a wooden structure over the entrance object at the head, whose remnant could be a preserved recessed object. The castle situated on several rock blocks was, as evidenced by noticeable notches in the sandstone, wooden. Its constructions covered clefts between individual rocks. The main object was a timbered square building, perhaps a residential tower. In addition, a small room of a rounded contour was cut into the rock on the north side, with a circular recessed object filled with water, perhaps a tank of minimum orifice dimensions. The main function was probably to guard the trade route along the Jizera River.
