The beautiful dean church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary was first mentioned as a parish in the documents of the then bishopric of Litomyšl as early as 1350, in 1655 it was promoted to deanery. It is originally a Gothic, Renaissance-style empor church. Inside, there is a Renaissance sandstone pulpit with rich sculptural decoration and a Renaissance choir, a tin baptismal font from the 14th century. Medieval frescoes were discovered in part of the presbytery. The altarpiece of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a replica of the painting of Peter Brandl from the Church of Sts. Lawrence in Vysoké Mýto. The church burnt down several times, after a fire in 1850 a new tower was built. Major restoration work was carried out in the 19th century by architect František Schmoranz. Further repairs took place in the 20th century and in 2002-2005 the roof of the church was repaired.
