The Roman Catholic Church was built as a Baroque new building in the 17th century on the initiative of the Jesuit Order and with the support of patrons from the nobility. Construction has been underway for more than a hundred years, and the final design was attended by leading architects and artists of the time, such as Carlo Lurago, Giovanni Domenico Orsi, Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, or Jan Hiebel. The building is built on the ground plan of the Latin cross, the model was the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus in Rome. The Roman Catholic Church was built as a Baroque new building in the 17th century on the initiative of the Jesuit Order and with the support of the patronage of nobility.
