It is the only one of the originally three churches in the town cemetery. The building from 1380 was damaged during the Hussite wars and in 1496 it was rebuilt by Klatovy burghers. In 1632 a funeral chapel was added and the church nave underwent a baroque reconstruction in 1736-40. To this day it serves occasionally for funeral ceremonies.
