Kostel sv.Jana Pavla II.

Chapel of St. John Paul II in Bukovany is a very modern sacral building completed and consecrated only on October 20, 2013. The building symbolizes a ship-sheet, firmly anchored above the wave, a ship for believers and other visitors. It has a beautiful and unusual interior, a completely unique altar, a pictorial Stations of the Cross made of paper, painted stained glass, etc. In a way, the Bukovanská chapel is a real rarity. For example, only by its size, which surpasses many churches in the area. Even her hypermodern face is not exactly a common affair, and the building's donor, a local native and Kyjov businessman, is also original. Relics in the form of a drop of blood, drunk into the garment of John Paul II. after the assassination in 1981 and placed in the altar, is only a bonus icing on the cake.
