Nice place for fall trails.
The Church of St. Isidore, a farmer from Madrid in Nové Losiny, is a Baroque building from the beginning of the 18th century, later rebuilt. The predominantly classicist single-nave building creates a distinctive dominant feature in the mountain landscape. The church, dedicated to Saint Isidore of Madrid, was inscribed in the list of cultural monuments in 1958
History
In the lower part of the village was built on a high place a small chapel with a bell tower in 1711 to 1714, which was a filial church under the deanery Kolštejn .. In 1722 the chapel was consecrated to the honor of St. Isidor, patron saint of peasants and good harvest. In 1731, the bell of St. Emanuel, cast by the Olomouc master Olaf Oberg. In 1777 the chapel was enlarged by a wooden extension for reasons of capacity.
In 1784 the chapel was elevated to a parish church and a separate parish of Nové Losiny was established. The church was rebuilt again. The wooden extension was canceled and a new main nave was built instead, no tower and shorter than the current length of the nave. The church was rebuilt in its final form between 1819 and 1821. The nave was extended and a tall tower was built in front of it. In 1873 the roof was repaired.
In September 1924, new church bells were consecrated, which were purchased from the gifts of local residents as a replacement for the original, requisitioned during the First World War. In 1928 the church interior was renovated and new windows were installed. After World War II, most of the inhabitants of the village were relegated and the church fell into disrepair. Since the end of the sixties, the church has been painted several times, the interior has been redesigned, and a new floor has been laid. In 2014, during the reconstruction of the tower, a letter was found in the dome, which was left there by local citizens in 1873. In addition to the brief history of the church also contained several silver and gold coins
The country church stands on a nice elevated place opposite the cemetery, so it is very good to take photos and looks. Unfortunately, it was not possible to play the organ at Mass, which is somehow broken, it even had to go through some side entrance, which made the situation a bit more difficult. Otherwise nice.
