The church is well repaired and the graveyard cut, so the beautiful memorials stand out.

I am deeply impressed with what has been achieved! My mother's family comes from Beckengrund (Pekarov since 1945) Since my first visit, I have always tried to stay up to date and went there again and again. All of a sudden, I think it was 2003, I came across a fascinating action by Prague scouts! These had set themselves the task of saving cultural assets in the Tesstal from decay! This included the Marienkapelle from Beckengrund / Pekarov! So I immediately got in touch STEPAN PACL (Hello Stepan, Greetings from Schemmerberg, Germany!) and were promptly invited to a vernissage at Gross Ullersdorf Castle in 2004. It was fascinating! We met many alumni from Beckengrund who had to stay in the CSSR, many Beckengrunders from Germany, and then on the penultimate day of our stay also the Friedrich family, my grandfather's former neighbors, who still use their house in Beckengrund as a holiday home. I don't have to mention that it was a very, very long day and evening. And so I am always in Pekarov, and I am amazed at what has become of this ruined ruin of a chapel!
