Before Zbraslav was connected to the capital of Prague in 1974, it was an independent city - "Zbraslav nad Vltavou". After its connection to Prague, it became a part of Prague 5. Today it is a separate city district and has around 9,000 inhabitants. The whole area offers a lot of interesting tourist destinations, history was written here from prehistoric times through the Celts to the Přemyslid family - every time I come here I discover something new and learn something interesting. it lies at the confluence of the Vltava and Berounka rivers and is the gateway to Povltaví and Posázaví. Originally an independent city, whose history is associated with the Celts and Přemyslids, was annexed to Prague in 1974.
