The Gothic Church of St. Bartholomew was built in 1414 on the site of the former Chapel of the Holy Spirit, which was extended in 1347 by the Chapel of St. Wenceslas and was destroyed by fire. In the 17th century, the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style.

The Church of the Cross of the Cross with the Red Star was built in 1414 in the place of the former Romanesque Chapel of the Holy Spirit, built by Cheb councilor Niklas Gumarauer. The church and the neighboring building were a hospital in the Middle Ages and also served as a quarantine. At that time, the arrivals had to stay in quarantine for a few days in order not to bring the plague into the city. During the bombing in 1945 the church was damaged. Reconstruction came in 1962, during which the original frescoes were restored. It is a relatively simple, but unique in Czech Gothic - rectangular hall building with a ribbed straddle vault in the form of a six-pointed star, which is led to a single supporting pillar standing in the central part of the church.
