Old Jewish Cemetery, Žižkov. Starý židovský hřbitov na Žižkov - Nodah BiYehudah. We were exploring several Jewish Cemeteries ands Synagogues when we discovered this old cemetery next to the Television Tower. It was a big contrast to see these ancinet tumbs next to a high technology communications tower that is also a piece of art. Cultural, historic, technology, and urban art tourism together.

Worth having a look. Small yet it gives an eerie desolate feeling to it

I was staying nearby so took an early morning walk to see this old Jewish cemetery. This was based on the fact that someone wrote there is no problem climbing over the fence if the place is closed. Either the fence has been changed or the reviewer was talking about a different place, but believe me there is no way of climbing over the tall metal fence with its spikes! So I saw it only from the outside. It is small, very beautiful with old graves scattered around. There are residential houses behind it, the TV tower above it and a lovely little kindergarten also right beside it. The Zizkov area is old and has some lovely streets worth wandering through.

Quiet, beautiful place... it's very small but worth to visit.
