The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Dolní Počernice is a small pleasant "village" church in the immediate vicinity of the local chateau. It has been on the list of cultural monuments since 1958. In January this year, we said goodbye to my uncle Milan for the last time in this church, the Holy Mass was very nicely led by the local pastor - the administrator of the parish of Dolnopernice, P. doc. PhDr. Libor Ovečka. Thank you.

Nadherny kostelicek. Nicely fixed. Dominanta D. Pocernic. On the other hand, a nice statue of Jan Nepomucke in the yard.

The church was built around 1200, probably on the site of an older wooden church. This data is based on the archaic design of compressed arches of the eastern window. The church stood in the immediate vicinity of the men's fortress and the tribune of the church was probably connected with the fortress by a wooden footbridge or bridge. In the Gothic period there were two conversions. In 1644 gained Počernice Rudolf Colloredo. From the time of its holdings come from the baroque church adjustments. In 1856 the church was rebuilt in Neo-Romanesque style. Since 1958 it registered in the list of cultural monuments. So much history. For me it's a beautiful church.

The impressive Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the oldest building in Dolní Počernice - it is based on a Romanesque building from the first quarter of the 13th century. Around 1200, the then owner of the settlement over the ford across Rokytka decided to build an own church near his probably wooden mansion. During the Gothic period the church was enlarged twice, at the beginning of the 16th century a tower was added and during the Renaissance the building was vaulted. Today's appearance is the work of a radical neo-Romanesque adaptation from 1886-87.
