Gido's Pizza

*UPDATED* Pizza arrived 1h 20mins later, its hot and tastes good. Still not worth the headache though. Currently waiting almost an hour for the delivery even though I live about 5mins from the pizzaria. I have called to ask for an update but they hung up on me and when I called back they refuse to answer. The first time I ordered here it was a really good experience but this is just a joke. I mean if you're running late fine but just tell me over the phone, I mean I have already paid for the pizza and added a tip. The pizza is good here but to anyone reading save yourself a headache and order somewhere else.

This is the only good pizzeria in our neighborhood, yet the reason it has two stars only is very simple to explain: 1. Inconsistency in both taste and quality of the pizza. I am not exaggerating when I say that I never know what the pizza will actually be like when we order from here. Sometimes it is undercooked/raw, sometimes it is nearly burnt. Why such inconsistency? 2. Staff is often unprofessional and dirty 3. People who clearly are not employees are always hanging in, out, and around the business and this is very sketchy/unwelcoming. 4. If you call to order it for takeaway, they always tell you it will be 45 minutes to an hour. But when we walk to the store and order there it is ready in 15 minutes (again, inconsistent) I don't understand it, because my husband has said he's met the owner a few times in the past when he would pick up a pizza and he seems like a very smart and capable business-owner...why then the lack of quality control and customer service? Maybe the owner should be more present at his business, be more involved in the hiring process, and raise his standards!

I was rather skeptical about the pizza, but in the end it was a great experience. This is the only pizza in my location that offers fancy types of pizza like American style, hot dog stuffed or with a cheese crust. I have so far tried the cheese one and the American style one. The cheese crust was pretty good with a decent amount of cheese in the crust. It also tasted fresh. I would definitely say it in a way reminded me of the cheese crust from Pizza Hut. Although, that flavor isn't that hard to replicate. The pan pizza was more of a letdown. I was expecting Pizza Hut, but instead I got a pizza with a slightly higher layer of cheese. Still, I can't say I didn't enjoy the pizza for what it was. I had the Margarito Classico and the cheese tasted like it would in what you imagine a pure cheese pizza tastes like. The dough was surprisingly high quality with even the non-cheese crust tasting simply delicious. I should also mention the delivery time. I live a long distance from store, but they still agreed to send us a 700 crown order. It only took a little over an hour. I really like that they have a lot of different offers going on. For example, when we ordered, it said 750 at checkout and then when we got the pizza it was 650 because of a 3 for 2 offer they had going on. The site does seem a little less professional, but they do let you pay in cash so you don't have to give them your credit card. I'll definitely order this soon.

Pizza: not that bad, lower average, quite OK Ordered a week ago, 7 pizzas: after more than one hour of waiting, we called them (half an hour before the end of opening hours) and the answer was that they have not started yet and will not even do the pizzas ... We had to skip all the extras (still pay for it) and pay even about 20 % more to get the pizzas. Ordered yesterday: 1.5 hours of waiting (claimed 30-40 mins), then after 3rd call as a reminder they finally started doing it and we had to pick it up by ourselves, otherwise they will not do it at all again. I am actually suprised Gido`s still have some customers, we are definitely not going to order anything anymore from this place.

Me and my family love this place I really recommend.
