The origin of the church of St. Jan Nepomucký V trníčku na Jenerálka is connected with the construction of the plague cemetery in 1680 on the territory of the Premonstratensian monks, to which the court of Jenerálka belonged at the time. At the beginning of the 18th century, a chapel with a statue of John of Nepomuk was established here, canonized only in 1729. After another plague epidemic in 1713, the cemetery was enlarged and a modern Baroque church with a square nave was built on the chapel in 1713. chapel. The cemetery disappeared at the end of the 19th century, some family tombstones were transferred around 1900 to the newly established Střešovice cemetery. The various interior furnishings date from the 18th and 19th centuries, including the statues of St. Norbert and St. Wenceslas by František Platzer. Establishment of the Church of St. John of Nepomuk on Jenerálka is associated with the construction of the plague cemetery in 1680 in the Premonstratensian territory, which then owned the Jenerálka court.
