The most precious place of the Cathedral is the square Chapel of St. Wenceslas. The vault was designed by Petr Parler. In the center is the tomb of St. Veceslao with a Gothic tombstone standing on a pedestal decorated with precious stones, the casket with the remains of St. Wenceslas and the silver bust. The walls of the chapel are covered with precious stone plates and precious murals recalling the life of St. Wenceslas. The door of the Chapel leads to the staircase of the Chamber of the Crown where the jewels of its coronation are preserved in 1346.
