According to the chronicle of Václav Hájek from Libočany, the history of the church in Liboc dates back to 992. The village of Liboc with the adjacent Malejov forest is mentioned when the Břevnov monastery was founded in 993, when Prince Boleslav II. donated to the monastery. The parish church in Liboc is reliably documented by written sources in the 14th century, by archeological probes a century earlier. The parish near the church with a farm building and a barn was built after 1702, but its current appearance dates back to the late Baroque period. In 1893, the building underwent repairs and modifications by the builder Josef Ruprecht. In 1996, it came under the administration of the Carmelites, who after two years also became the owners of the building.
