A church with Romanesque foundations, as if transferred from a rural fairy tale. Well, it used to be far next to Prague.

Branch Church of St. Martin (originally a Romanesque church built around the middle of the 12th century) is mentioned in the possession of the Břevnov Monastery in 1264. The church also included an old cemetery, which was moved to the current cemetery in the 19th century. The church bell was consecrated by Archbishop Cardinal Beran in 1949. Now the ringing is no longer done manually, the bell is electrically operated. The existence of the church, or rather its Romanesque origin, is a clear proof that the village of Řepy certainly existed before the 13th century. Church of St. Martin was never consecrated, so a solemn mass celebrated in 1992 by the Archbishop of Prague Škarvada could be celebrated in him without any problems. During the celebrations of the Řep millennium in 1993, the Pontifical Mass of the Břevnov Archbishop P. dr. Anastáz Opasek, the day after the title of archbishop was granted to him by Pope John Paul II.
