Kostel svatého Jana Křtitele

Very nice. The Church of St. John the Baptist is the oldest preserved monument in Tehov. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. [1] History The church was founded in the 14th century. In the Baroque period the church was extensively reconstructed and in 1779 the tower was added. The church is a single nave, has a rectangular presbytery and a prismatic tower with three bells. [2] The tower is on the western side of the church and is finished with a pyramid helmet and a small onion. The altar dates back to 1795, but the other furnishings of the church date back to the Baroque and Rococo periods. [3] The church is surrounded by a cemetery. Worship is held every third Sunday of the month.
