Yes, from a technical point of view, everything is usually fine. And yes, if Master Kobrle is in a good mood, you can have a nice chat with him about guitars and learn a lot. But from time to time he has incredible collapses in work organization and in dealing with customers. I wanted to have the pickups and the bridge replaced on the guitar, which I don't think is a complicated repair. As time went on, when I asked how the job was progressing and urged it, problems gradually started to buy: Mr. Kobrle stops taking the phone, doesn't answer e-mails, almost wouldn't let you into the workshop, fictional excuses increase, the first lies appear I guess I would understand if something is delayed or fails, it can happen. But I really hate it when someone handles it that way. I picked up the guitar after 3 months without the master even opening the suitcase and looking at it. It's a pity, there aren't that many guitarists, but I'll never really look here again.

Kobrle & Stehno is a company of two skilled men based in Holešovice, which manufactures and repairs acoustic guitars, bass guitars and electric guitars. The musicians will probably be thrilled after entering their workshop, because they will see many unfinished guitars and the process of assembling them. Messrs. Kobrle & Stehno most often makes custom guitars for famous Czech and foreign musicians. So if you have more money with you, you can have a high-quality guitar built exactly according to your most secret wishes. However, you can also buy acoustic guitars, the hand-made of which the company has been engaged in since 1996. Compared to factory products, hand-made allows a more individual approach to individual instruments. The choice and selection of materials, careful tooling, and quality materials, including paint, are the main advantages that cannot be achieved in series production. Electric guitars and bass guitars belong exclusively to Mr. Kobrle, which does not reduce their quality at all. Apart from the production of musical instruments, it is not a problem to make major repairs in the workshop. Kobrle & Stehno do reliable, precise work and I recommend them to all guitarists who like to break their musical instruments. It is nice to support small Czech craftsmen and appreciate their great work.

I used Mr. Kobrle's services 18 years ago and I was very satisfied. He repaired the split back plate of a classic Yamaha so that it was impossible to tell that she had ever had anything, and he put a Shadow sensor in it that still works well. And it was done in a few days. Everything extra with a smile and understanding. I like to remember that.

In the long run, absolutely dependable and helpful guitar service, Libor Kobrle is a sympathetic friend who will always help. And loves chili and Asian cuisine :)
