Back projection from the projector Overhead projection is suitable for interiors and outdoor events. It is also often used to show ads in shop windows, fashion shows and similar events. It is also a suitable solution for conferences where there are not suitable dispositions for the front projection or we want to hide the projection technique used (projector, notebook, etc.). When using Overhead projection, the projector is placed behind the screen, facing the plenum. This means that the presenter can stand in front of the image without being blinded by the projector or overshadowing the presentation. The image penetrates the screen and is projected through the projection screen, the projection screens for back projection are already produced with light gain. For this type of projection are used projection screens of various sizes with the possibility of large-area projection. As with the front projection, the projector is selected according to the distance from the screen, the possibility of darkening the room. The distance of the lens on the projector from the screen is determined by the zoom of the projector itself, the projection area we want to cover, the larger the area the longer the distance and of course the more powerful the projector see. “How to choose the right projector?” The distance can be reduced by using special lenses, but the lens refracts light, reducing luminous flux by up to 30%. This reduced distance is again at the expense of projector performance. The projection distance is calculated from the 1: 8-2: 4 basic lens rule.
