Kaple Sv. Barbory

The chapel was built by Přibík Jeníšek of Újezd, the royal prosecutor, the highest scribe of the land and the owner of the estate in Březnice. The construction was started in 1642. The construction was designed by Carlo Lurago - well-known walnut builder, architect of both churches in Březnice, chapel of st. The octagonal building of the chapel is built above the strong springs leading into the central well. Near the chapel there is a small spa, rebuilt several times. The water was pumped into the baths manually and contained sulfur and potassium nitrate. Baths helped with paralysis, colds, coughs, skin rashes, eye problems and last but not least healing days. The water was slightly heated. The chapel was decorated in the second half of the 18th century by the famous sculptor and woodcarver Ignác Hammer, who died on 1 June 1801 in Dobrá Voda. On the main altar there is a statue of the Madonna, as well as statues of St. Otýlie, sv. Liboria, Vol. Valentina, Vol. Anna, sv. Barbara, sv. Blažej, sv. Agata and Apolonia. In 1992 - 1997 the chapel was repaired.

It is worth a visit. We did not drink water. The well from her side did not trust. The nearby track with the top of the place was hurt.
