THE FARM

We loved this place so much that we came back here the day after. Our first visit was a Sunday around 10 o’clock. The street was quite clam and our son could run around the area and draw on the sidewalk with colored charcoal from the cafe. The atmosphere was friendly, cute and cozy. The young waiter spook brilliant English and I have to say, they made the best French toast I have ever tasted. This place is most definitely worth a visit.

Ruined dinner :( We have been served fast (orders are taken via bakery nowadays), good food as always, if not only one but! We’ve been there with one year old kid who was happily wondering around. The kid noticed small hand truck standing near by and started slowly moving it back and forth. Suddenly, an older man who was drinking wine outside with some lady, came and without introducing himself asked to not touch the hand truck and without waiting for us to take the kid, he just took it and moved, so the kid fell on the butt, no injury happened, all good, but no single excuse from this man. We as parents started to ask him what’s going on and who is he. After long argues with him and the lady, lessons how we should play with our own kid, he hesitantly told that he is an owner of the restaurant. So I asked waitress to stop this man from ruining our dinner, but she rejected to help us and just observed from the window (who can go against an employer these days, fine) This was a huge disappointment as we could not expect such rude, impolite and arrogant behavior from the place owner towards his customers. Sad story, despite of being a good place, this address is crossed off from the places to come back.

Visited after a year for early sunday lunch. Ordering system is absolutely chaotic. You have to order in the bakery next door and get a small number ticket. Service then doesnt know which table ordered which dish and is very confused and asks you five times whats your order number before your actual dish arrives. Food itself was not really good. Fries very greasy, burger greasy and overcooked. Eggs benedict sauce was tasteless. Maybe the chaos and bad food is remnant of postcovid situation but not worth your time and money.

This isis my second time at this Cafè. It confirmed my first impression: this Cafè is absolutely overrated, food is absolutely not good at all and waiters are very confused, I would say these people were at their first job or so. We had to ask them twice to clean our table (that was previously occupied by another couple). We went for a Saturday early breakfast, we could not sit inside for there was some redecorating of the venue in progress, we sat outside, weather was nice. I ordered a club sandwich and an espresso, the espresso was very watery and definitely not they way it should be served, the sandwich came already cut and did not look very tasty. My sandwich was very disappointing: I have my own bread maker at home and can bake better bread, but I can tell the one we can purchase in any supermarket would be better. The meat was very dry and overall the sandwich was not tasty at all. My girlfriend had an omelette that was visibly overcooked, we had waited quite a long time and honestly did not want to send it back and ask for a new one. I understand that Prague is a Hipster heaven but a large beird and a base cap does not really make a Cafè staff (sa nd owner) a good Cafè. By the way food was prepared I can tell the staff in the kitchen is just like the waiters: unprepared and unprofessional.

Nice atmosphere and pastry but breakfast is nothing special. But this place is one of the rare places in Prague serves breakfast
