Kostel sv. Jakuba Většího

Baroque church of St. Jakub Většího was built in the 1840s on the site of an old Gothic church.

The simple but handsome Baroque architecture of the building from 1742 was built by the Duchess of Tuscany after the destruction of a church of much older origin, similar to Hořelice. The building is an ornament of the village and its surroundings.

Church of st. Jakub Většího is a clear, historical and unmistakable dominant of Tachlovice. It is located almost on the outskirts of the village and is especially visible at night thanks to reflector lighting for miles. According to the side wall, the church also includes a historic and fully functional cemetery. The church is located on the eastern side of Tachlovice near elementary and nursery schools. I have never been able to visit the interior - the church has always been closed unfortunately.
