Nice museum which cover Prague history from prehistory to now. First part of the exhibition seems to be have been renovated recently, and is great. The second part looks older and is not as great, I hope they'll be renovate it too. They don't speak about modern history, too bad. Staff is nice and try to explain things, but their english is limited so it's kind of hard to communicate.

Decent history museum. Mostly covers natural history from pre historic to the 1950s. Mostly centered around life in and around Prague. Pots, pans, articles of clothing, diet, etc. Decent size museum. Covers a good amount of space. Missing the development of the city and ownership of it over time.

The museum was quite nice although they maybe need to do some refurbishment in some rooms. I really liked the part about the start of Prague but I was disappointed to see that they stopped before our time. I was expecting to see every piece of the history of Prague. The staff of the museum was also very nice even though they did not speak English. They tried to explain us things and they really did everything to make our visit interesting. It was really nice of them!

Quiet during the week except for school groups, and a bit out of the way tucked between a busy bus stop and a highway ramp, this beautiful old building has a wonderful collection that showcases the city's history, starting with a large prehistoric section, on through the medieval and baroque periods, then ending at a room filling model of the historic city complete with glorious details. Just a heads up that the staff don't speak a lot of English but are very helpful and hand gestures on both parts go a long way. There also isn't a cafe or much of a gift shop, but it's still a fantastic stop, away from the crowds in Old Town.

Great museum covering various aspects of Prague's history and pre history. Loved the exhibition of photographs by Jovan Dezort. Entrance fee is reasonable, well worth a visit if in Prague.
